Lyn Aerospace has an immediate opening for Radar Systems Engineer / Developer at our Kauai, HI office.

The candidate will support the design, development, integration and test of advanced instrumentation radar systems to include signature and metric analysis in support of our customers located at Pacific Missile Range Facility (Kauai, HI).  PMRF is the world’s largest instrumented test range, supporting test of our Nation’s most advanced weapon and defense systems.  Grow your future with Lyn Aerospace while enjoying the best of the Hawaiian Culture.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • RF design and analysis (receiver, upconverter, up/down link, transmitter)

  • Support high power radar transmitter sustainment, design and troubleshooting

  • Generation of specifications based on customer and or specific radar application

  • Integration and test of radar subsystem hardware & software.Develop integration and test plans.Perform subsystem and system level performance testing, both on site and in test environments

  • Radar systems level integration, test, troubleshooting and repair (includes use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)

  • Design & development of real-time radar subsystem control software

  • Prepare and participate in engineering design reviews

  • Development and updates to radar system & subsystem user documentation and drawings

  • Support implementation and mitigation of Cybersecurity protocols and controls (RMF)

  • Provide on-site radar engineering and operations support (land and shipboard systems)

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline (Electrical, Physics, Math, or Mechanical Engineering)

  • 3+ years of instrumentation radar hardware design, development, integration and test

  • Software development experience in C++, C, C#, Python and MATLAB

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

 

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience with Instrumentation Radar systems (e.g., Radar Open System Architecture (ROSA) and/or Coherent Signal Processor (COSIP) radar backend

  • Engineering degree with emphasis on design of signal processing and waveform generation.
